# High quality knowledge at one of the top universities in Kazakhstan

Nowadays, usage and authority of test items are quite common. It’s well-known that test items are used with the the aim for identifying knowledge of examinees in all fields. Therefore, the theory which mentioned above are being implemented in tertiary education.

Along with worldwide universities Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi is integrated discipline “The theory of creating test items”. The main feature of this discipline is that students become manageable in forming test items by taking into account all criteria of this subject.

We are first year master students of faculty “Philology and world languages” and of speciality “Foreign languages: two foreign languages” have been gotten significant knowledge in just 3 months. The PhD Doctor who gives lectures to our group Kuzembekova Zhanna Zhalayirkyzy has been providing us with high quality and better education. It’s true that from the lectures of our educator we have learned ways how to form test items and more information regarding to this term. Moreover, except for definitions and history of test items we have been taught different types and programmes of test items.

As the witness of these lectures in our group was held open lesson named “Distractors and their role in creating test items” today, on the 23rd of December. During the lesson tutor explained the theory satisfactorily. She impressed on the students with interesting information. Learners were get interested in the lesson, by analyzing test items and determining the role of “distractors”. Furthermore, students shared with their supplementary information and exchanged with each other. At the end of the lesson there was debate, and each student gave their opinion for their work. We could say that students had assimilated new topic properly.

There is a remarkable reason to say that the lesson represented highest level, due to reasons of that the tutor had shown her proficiency. Therefore, learners managed to use in practice the theory they were given.

It’s such a great honor to be master students of Kazakh National University, one of the top universities in Kazakhstan. Because we are not only having lessons, we have been giving useful, and unforgettable education and experience.
