About simple and complex

I have an acquaintance, working middle-management construction organization. German by nationality, he was born and increased in Uzbekistan, now with great warm relations he remembers his childhood, speaking of neighbors only kind words. So not so long ago he happened to supervise the work of the construction team, consisting mainly of Uzbek’s. When he got acquaintance with them, then, naturally, he greeted the Uzbek language and in return saw surprised faces. “Do you speak our language?” – they asked. “A good leader must find a common language with his subordinates”- answered my friend, without revealing the details of his biographies. After this case, the respect of employees to him has increased unbelievably…

The relationship between management and ordinary employees is a multifaceted and delicate, which gives rise to numerous aphorisms. Unfortunately, must often negative, for example: “You’re the boss, I’m a fool”. You can quote a well-known quote, author Peter I :  “The subordinate in the face of commander  must have a dashing, silly man,  don’t bother your boss. So, How do you think, in which organization efficiency of work is higher – in that where the leader respects his subordinates, or in the, where the leadership refers to the workers arrogantly and almost considers them their property? I think the answer is obvious…

Why I am saying this. The other day  I had conversation with one of the workers is the largest JSC “Arcelor Mittal Temirtau” in Kazakhstan, works for them a lovely lady- Anna Adom, it works as it is not strange for the director of personnel, that is on the duty of duty is directly related to the selection of personnel.

To be honest, I have no right to judge her business qualities, because I do not have information on this issue. Perhaps, she is like Count Suvorov-Rymnik, which is as they say he knew all his soldiers in person, she is aware of how every employee of the company lives. If so, then honor to her and praise.  Nevertheless, Mrs. Adom has one significant drawback: she so like to express a sense of self-importance to her subordinates. While softening the vernacular expressions, he treats them carelessly - no, no, and will behave capriciously with a sharpened shoulder, fold her dissatisfied smile on the lips, and then wave with a pointing one, as if to say: "Know your place!" "Pardon!" - workers are forced to say , sighing heavily and bowing the  head. Recently, Mrs. Adom had the pleasure of resting with her family in one of the local holiday homes which is the company’s personalities. For two whole days she was luxuriating in the sun and ate delicious dishes, while at that time the service driver Igor Prokhorov (on the Chevrolet Captiva service car No. Р744382),  as a faithful dog, instead of being with his family, patiently waited until the high-ranking people finish their exercise .

Let's return to the beginning of our conversation. My friend - now, let's say, a man is far from poor. He did not reach the familiarity with the workers. For example, he avoided eating and spending time with his subordinates in every possible way, but he always tried to choose good reasons for this in order to not to offend people. And he treated them according to the merit: distinguished himself - well done, received a prize, failed the task - it will also affect his wallet. If necessary, he set their interests aside to their superiors, if required helped them with treatment, and, if possible solved everyday problems. Soon the workers realized that their boss is a complicated person. You cannot trick him and you can also rely on him. Then they began to work not just well, excellent. Probably, true intelligence - not in ostentatious arrogance, but in the deeds done. Be supportive. Keep it smile.
