С 21 по 25 июня был в Алмате в семинаре ОБСЕ. Были участники со всех стран Средней Азии : Казахстан, Кыргызстан, Узбекистан, Таджикистан и Тюркменистан.
Темы были:
1. The European Security Treaty as an initiative to re-vitalize the OSCE.
2. What are the causes of persistent upheavals in Kyrgyzstan since 2005?
3. The Present and Future of Terrorism in Central Asia.
4. The Regional Security Dimension of the Afghan Conflict and Multilateral Responses: What Role for the OSCE?
5. Macro- and micro-level obstacles to effective regional-level transportation development. Cross-country analysis and perspectives for improvement.
6. Labour migration in Central Asia and emerging challenges.
7. Water-energy issues in Syr Darya/Amu Darya basins
8. Freedom of the media in CA
9. Good governance issues in Central Asia
10. Why has female participation in government and politics in Central Asia declined since 1991 and what measures could be taken to improve gender equity in politics and government?
В конце этого семинара участники, 40 чел, разделились на 10 груп, которые до сентября будут писать Исследовательскую работу на выбранную тему.
После того как эксперты оценят наши работы, победителей ожидает поездка в Вену на одну из больших конференций ОБСЕ.
