I finally understood the difference between summary, essay and paraphrase.
A summary is a brief statement of a writer's ideas.
So you don't need to:
- use quotations
- paraphrase
- include your own interpretations
- slant on the material
- give details, facts, examples and illustrations.
Give the main points only. Write in your own words.
